oh i love cute dads

I dare you to look at these and tell me they aren't the cutest pictures EVER! Yes, I cried watching this on tv. I dont really care about the Saints, no emotional connection to them. But to see a cute dad celebrate one of the biggest accomplishments of his life with his ADORABLE baby boy is wonderful. Amid all this Tiger Woods, Michael Vick, Mark McGwire ( i mean honestly the list doesn't end) dont you love good athletes that are good guys too? I do! And seriously, that is one cute kid.

it reminded me of this...

After Phil Mickelson finally won his first major. And on the mic you could hear him saying to his 2 cute girls "I did it! Daddy Won!!"

I really think there are few sweeter things in the world then the gentle, sweet love of a daddy for his children.

Neuroblastoma Research

Although being busy with Medical School, Bryan has decided to run another marathon on May 30th. His classmates have decided to run in support of Pediatric Neuroblastoma Research. This research is headed right here at the University of Vermont by Dr. Giselle Sholler. And due to the nature of pediatric cancers not being as common as adult cancers, they are heavily funded by private donations. Bryan's goal is to raise $500. I feel weird asking all of you to donate money, but in all honesty if one of you were running a marathon to raise money for children cancer I would have liked the opportunity to help support that. It makes me feel good to know I did even just a little, and I think most of you like these opportunities as well. Even if its just a dollar.

We are asking you to donate any amount that you feel comfortable with. Thank You in advance for your support of Bryan and more importantly of this research.

Christmas outfit and snow

So I have been really terrible at updating things lately... but I just dont have a lot going on. Each day is just trying to keep Ethan entertained in the house! If you are on facebook, some of this will be old news, but for those of you who aren't on it then here is a little update!

We had a pretty huge snow storm about 3 weeks ago.. It was kind of insane. Apparently it was record snow in some areas. Up to 36 inches in 1 day! Bryan had to go out every few hours and shovel to stay on top of things so we wouldn't get snowed in.

Being a Vegas girl, I'm not the biggest fan of snow. But for some reason it hasn't bothered a whole lot. It is so peaceful and beautiful. Everything here is just covered in white. (I still need to go take picture of all the beautiful buildings covered in snow.) But it is kind of celestial since everything is a beautiful sparkling white. I love it.
Look at that path to just get to the car. (p.s. i LOVE LOVE LOVE our car. It is amazing. I feel so much safer driving in it then our old little sedans. I can't tell you how grateful I am everyday to have this car!)

This picture is Sunday morning. Bryan had to unbury our car to get to church (yep, they didn't cancel!). Ethan got a cute little shovel. He loves helping his dad!

This is Ethan's christmas outfit. I'm totally obsessed with that bow-tie! How darling!!! His Grandma has good taste- thanks Grandma!!

This is just a few days ago. It has been in the 30's so snow has been falling off roofs. This is the snow coming off our roof. Thats cool huh?

You know you have a good kid when....

You've caught him in the act...watching the Living Scriptures.

You know when your kids disappear for a little while and they are being really quiet and you start thinking "uh oh...what did he do??". So I called down to Ethan and asked him what he was doing and he responded, "Watching Jesus. I love him."
Bryan and I kinda laughed and looked downstairs and sure enough he figured out how to put in the movie, change the channel and made himself comfortable.
Makes all of those moments of tantrums, time outs and talking back totally worth it.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!

If you could see my insides when I say that "I LOVE CHRISTMAS" you would probably watch as each organ exploded with tinsel, glitter and christmas lights.

There is just something so magical, so anticipating, so exciting, so happy, so loving and pretty much every other good emotion you can feel. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunetly, my camera is lost and my computer is broken. SO...I am typing on Bryan's computer (technically owned by UVM- because yes, his school is SO awesome they gave him a laptop. And they "own" it so that they can fix it for him whenever he needs them to without charging us a cent. And he pays $1 for it after graduation. that was a long side thought.) Anyways....the pictures we have for this post are from our camera phone. And while they are not the best quality, theyare something! Thank heavens for camera phones, i use mine ALL the time.

And in 28 days I am getting this...

so no more camera phone pictures. (i'm very excited for the new
camera- but i dont know the first thing about them, so I also bought the Canon Rebel for Dummies book...)

Well on Thanksgiving we had a DELICIOUS dinner at the Smith's house. Great company and the best Turkey I have EVER had. And if you know my dad's amazing kitchen skills-that is sayin a lot!!

(ethan helping make some orange rolls- yummy!)

We also put up our Christmas Tree! Hooray! I LOVE having the tree up. This is the first ornament up. His Grandma Wilcox bought it for him at a Glass Blowing Studio when she visited Vermont. How cool!

We did a little shopping on Friday- just a few things. And I woke up at 11 am. No 3 am standing in line stuff for me.

But the most exciting thing?! We saw SANTA!!!

Ethan has been SO excited to see Santa and tell him that he wants a choo-choo train. We got there and Ethan was beaming! He couldn't believe Santa was right there. Then we got to the top of the line and Ethan was pushing me saying "go mom. go see santa. go mom" he was pretty nervous. I got him on Santa's lap, but there were no smiles. Which is better then last-year. Santa was so cute though and sang Jingle Bells to him. And got Ethan to tell him what he wanted. "choo-choo trains", of course!

HOORAY! Now we are going to watch ELF (well after the Game of course. GO UTES!!!)
