3rd Anniversary!

On Tuesday (Aug. 5th) it was our 3rd anniversary. We were up in Salt Lake, so we went to Mimi's Cafe (I LOOOVE that place!) and then we went to Boondocks, which is like a little amusement park. We played miniature golf and even though I got a 9 on one hole I still wasted Bryan! Oh and I killed him at basketball and skee-ball....but to his credit he beat me on Dance Dance Revolution. Haha.



I am going to share a little bit about how met! Bryan had just broken up with his long-time girlfriend when he went to his best friend/cousins wedding. His cousin Misty was talking to him and decided he needed to be set up on a blind date. He hadn't even been home from his mission a month and had this girlfriend for years...he needed help! I was really good friends with Misty from SUU and since I was going up to Salt Lake for Thanksgiving she decided I would be perfect. I had a missionary at the time so I didn't really want to go on anymore blind dates with weird guys because I was perfectly content just waiting! We met at Misty's house and the first 2 things I noticed about him was 1. His smile and 2. His spirit. It like radiated out of him! It was so attractive and comforting! And we basically just hit it off. He was too scared to get my phone number and I didn't think I had a chance with him; But, he called Misty and said "will you set me up with her again please?". We went out two days later and again...too scared to get my number. He called Misty and got it and we talked on the phone everyday since. He was going to BYU and I was going to SUU so we had to date long distance the whole time. I still tease him because he always said "we can still date other people, we're not boyfriend and girlfriend." We never went out with anyone else though and 6 months later we were saying I Love You...but we're still not exclusive. So basically we went from "dating other people" to engaged! I can't believe that was 3 years ago...it doesn't feel that long ago!
